For 15 years, Jackie Thomas has been the name and face of the Campus Writing Program and has consistently been that kind and helpful contact to guide us all with course proposals, WI funding, and event planning. Jackie has kept CWP organized and made the Conley House an inviting space for writing and learning. This week Jackie has started a new role at MU. Instead of working with CWP, she is now a Program Coordinator for grants with MU’s Missouri Writing Project out of the College of Education and Human Development. Jackie will be working with two grants: NSF-funded STEM Literacy Project and the Show Me Literacies Collaborative as part of the Comprehensive Literacy State Development Grant funded by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. We thank Jackie for her years of service and commitment to MU, to the faculty and students, and to our CWP family!
Jackie will still be around Conley House and MU campus, but any CWP/Writing Intensive course questions should be addressed to the following: Dr. Julie Birt, CWP Coordinator and/or Dr. Christy Goldsmith, CWP Assistant Director.
