Whether you’re teaching a Writing Intensive (WI) course for the first time or looking for a refresher, our WI Faculty and TA Workshops will help you start the semester with confidence. You’ll learn about WI expectations, discover practical teaching strategies, connect with colleagues, and explore campus resources designed to support both you and your students.
All instructors and teaching assistants assigned to teach a WI course are required to attend the appropriate workshop if they have not already done so. If you haven’t completed the training before teaching, it must be completed within one calendar year of your WI teaching assignment. (For teaching assistants, this workshop is in addition to any other required unit- or campus-level training.)
