Judith Goodman

Judith Goodman is Associate Professor of Communication Science and Disorders at the University of Missouri. Her research examines how children acquire and use linguistic knowledge. She is the recipient of the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award from the Office of Undergraduate Research, the Gold Chalk Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Graduate Professional Council, and an Outstanding Faculty Award from the School of Health Professions. She has been teaching a writing intensive course since her first year at MU in 1995 and served on the Campus Writing Board from 2007 – 2011, including as Chair from 2009 – 2011. She most enjoys watching students become comfortable reading and interpreting empirical literature.
