A central component of teaching with writing, whether in Writing Intensive classes or more generally, is timely and intentional feedback on student writing. In our age of ChatGPT and other GenAI tools, we know that feedback is even more crucial. Join the Campus Writing Program for this half-day workshop to learn about new strategies for giving efficient feedback on student writing, including ways we can work with—and against—GenAI in the classroom. This practical session will include example techniques of ways current WI instructors are adapting instructor and peer feedback and supporting self-assessment in the writing classroom. Attendance at this workshop also counts towards faculty re-certification for WI teaching.

If you’re available, stay for lunch and our Writing Intensive Awards presentation in Stotler Lounge at noon.
